To adopt an animal you must fill out and submit an adoption application. The manager or an approved staff member will review the application and approve or deny it.
**The District reserves the right to refuse an adoption or placement, if it is not in the best interests and/or welfare of the animal or public to do so. **
The District may at its discretion enter into a (M.O.U.) Memo of Understanding Agreement or Partnership, with legitimate and recognized 501c3 animal rescue organizations or non-profit 501c3 Breed Rescue groups or Rescue Transport groups, for the purpose of releasing animal(s) determined to be adoptable by the District, that have exceeded the required length of stay, and for whom space is no longer available. Once an animal(s) is released to a rescue or rescue transport group it becomes the sole property and responsibility of the rescue or destination shelter it is being transported to. The District retains the right to refuse and /or terminate any agreements or partnerships.
